Fire Incidents

A grass and bush fire burning south of the Sturt Highway near McGeochs South Road in the area of **Borambola** has been contained. The fire burnt through 629ha of land and is now under control.

A grass and bush fire is burning 5km south of Bulahdelah on both sides of the Pacific Highway, north of Myall River Rd. Firefighters and waterbombing aircraft are working to control the fire. One lane of the M1 Pacific Highway is currently open in both directions, however the highway may close at short notice if conditions deteriorate today.

There is a bush fire burning in the **Goulburn River National Park in the Merriwa River valley** area. The fire is currently more than 6890 hectares in size and is being controlled.
